The Gold&Discovery Fund is one of the best performing investment funds in The Netherlands. During the first full year, a return of 88% was achieved (before deduction of the performance fee). This Dutch investment fund, established by Willem Middelkoop and two associates in 2008, is the only fund in the world that focusses on value creation through new discoveries of natural resources (Discovery Investing). Besides numerous investments in precious metal companies (80% of invested capital), positions have also been taken in companies exploring for uranium, natural gas and rare earth elements.
